UFO Ultramaiden
Valkyrie, also known as UFO Princess Valkyrie, is an
anime series based on the manga of the same name, which ran for at least
six volumes. It was created by Kaishaku, who is also known for creating
Steel Angel Kurumi.
UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie ran for 12 episodes from July
4, 2002 to September 19, 2002. It was produced by Media Factory Inc.
and directed by Shigeru Ueda. It follows the story of Kazuto Tokino,
a human, and Princess Valkyrie, an alien, who gives half her soul to
Kazuto after accidentally crashing into his bathhouse and nearly killing
him. The price of her "gift" to him turns her into a child
unless she kisses Kazuto when she will regain her normal form for a
very short time. Four seasons of UFO Ultramaiden Valkyrie is currently
licensed by ADV Films and set for release in the United States with
the first volume due out on March 7, 2006. There are two sequels to
this series, UFO Princess Valkyrie 2 and an OVA under the title of UFO
Princess Walküre: Seiresetsu no Hanayome.
